ELEONES 2012/13 Early Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil surprises again

The new 2012/13  harvest is over once again for ELEONES. Earlier than any other region in Greece the ELEONES Early Harvest is almost ready for bottling as it is about to complete its “resting period” of eight weeks in the stainless steel tanks.

The olives were milled in late September earlier than any other region in Greece. Once again the ELEONES team managed to produce a difficult to match, in terms of quality, olive oil  as the chemical analysis of the ELEONES Early Harvest showed.

With acidity of 0.14% about six times lower than the limit of 0.80% for the extra virgin olive oil.

The K270 at a value of 0.09 when for the extra virgin the limit is 0.22,

The K232 at 1.357 with a limit for the extra virgin at 2.50

The peroxide value at 5.2 meqO2/kg with the limit for extra virgin at 20, about four times lower and

The ΔΚ -0.002 (minus) with the limit for the extra virgin olive oil at 0.01 that is a staggering ten times lower than the limit.
